Lexington’s Alpha Beta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. will once again honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., during their 21st annual Unity Breakfast. This year’s theme is “Unity: Striving for Justice, Equality and World Peace.”
The breakfast will take place on Martin Luther King, Jr., Day on Jan. 19 at the Lexington Center Heritage Hall West. The event kicks off at 7:30 a.m. and ends right before the annual Martin Luther King, Jr., Freedom March that departs from the Lexington Center Heritage Hall West.
The event is organized by the Alpha Beta Lambda Chapter Education Committee of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. Since its founding in 1906, Alpha Phi Alpha has worked to develop leaders, foster brotherhood, promote academic excellence and more for African-Americans and people of color around the world. The proceeds from the Unity Breakfast will go toward academic scholarships and other Alpha Beta Lambda Chapter Education Foundation programming.
Erie Insurance is proud to sponsor this meaningful community event that traditionally attracts more than 1,500 people each year. To learn more about the 21st annual Unity Breakfast and to get your ticket, visit the Alpha Beta Lambda chapter website.
