As the weather warms up, motorcycle riders across the country are polishing up their bikes and getting ready for a summer of riding.
This year, they may want to exercise some extra caution. The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB), a nonprofit that partners with insurers and law enforcement agencies to facilitate the identification, detection and prosecution of insurance criminals, reports that motorcycle theft increased six percent in 2015. This is the first time that this crime has increased in 10 years. A total of 45,555 motorcycles were reported stolen in 2015.
The NICB also shared which cities and states experienced that most motorcycle theft and which brands were stolen the most. Learn what they are by reading the source article at nicb.org.
