Are you in the market for a new car in the new year? If so, you most likely want something that is attractive, fun to drive–and safe.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) is here to help you with that last point. The independent, nonprofit scientific and educational organization recently released its picks for the safest 2015 cars. This year’s list included 71 vehicles that earned the top awards. That’s 32 more than last year.

The cars that make the cut must earn a good or acceptable rating in the small overlap front test and a good rating in each of the Institute’s four other crashworthiness evaluations: moderate overlap front, side, roof strength and head restraints.
